Luke Jerram makes glass replicas of viruses and bacteria, magnified by about 1 million times. Crystal life.

T4 Bacteriophage
This little bit of wonder infects E. coli bacteria (above), clamping on and injecting its DNA through its tail and into the bacteria. The DNA takes over, triggering replication of virus cells until the host cell explodes with a shower of new T4′s. Wow.

"What is knowledge anyway? It is not a physical thing; but neither is it a metaphysical ideal, like a perfect circle that can never be drawn, a mathematical constant with an infinite decimal tail, or a goddess of sublime beauty who never ages. Knowledge, eventually, relates to nothing but itself, and leads nowhere but back to itself." - Reverend Nemu
